Eurostat Jahrbuch 2011

Europa in Zahlen – Eurostat-Jahrbuch 2011 (Europe in figures – Eurostat yearbook 2011) enthält eine umfassende Auswahl statistischer Daten über Europa. Mit über 420 statistischen Tabellen, Abbildungen und Karten stellt das Jahrbuch eine vollständige Sammlung statistischer Informationen über die Europäische Union dar. 

Die meisten Daten beziehen sich auf den Zeitraum 1999-2009 und die Europäische Union sowie ihre Mitgliedstaaten. Für andere Länder wie die EFTA-Länder, EU-Beitrittskandidaten, Japan oder die Vereinigten Staaten werden einige Indikatoren angegeben.

Das Jahrbuch behandelt folgende Themen: Wirtschaft und Finanzen, Bevölkerung, Gesundheit, Bildung und Ausbildung, Arbeitsmarkt, Lebensbedingungen und soziale Sicherheit, Industrie, Handel und Dienstleistungen, Landwirtschaft, Forstwirtschaft und Fischerei, internationaler Handel, Verkehr, Umwelt, Energie, Wissenschaft und Technologie.

Das Jahrbuch darf als grundlegendes Referenzdokument zur europäischen Statistik gelten und bietet einen Überblick über ein breites Spektrum an Daten. Diese können kostenlos abgerufen werden. Die Kapitel des Eurostat Jahrbuchs sind auch als ständig aktualisierte Reihe von Artikeln in Statistics Explained verfügbar.
